STOCK YOUR PANTRY + FRIDGE + FREEZER
STOCK YOUR HOUSEHOLD ITEMS
THE END! Kidding.
No, but seriously. This is probably one of the most important things you can do before baby. The first, let’s say, three months are about survival FOR EVERYONE. I’ll share with you my checklist and some of my go-to items to have on hand when baby gets here. (Keep in mind we have a toddler in the house, so snacks are our saving grace. Remember, SURVIVAL!)
Here is what I stocked our pantry, fridge & freezer with…
– Snacks (PB Crackers, Popcorn, Granola Bars, Chips, Pretzels, Rice Cakes)
– Breakfast (Cereal, Muffins, Oatmeal, Quick Pancake Mix)
– Bread + Tortilla Shells
– Kid Stuff (Pouches galore, Raisins, Goldfish, more crackers, Cheerios)
-Protein Bars/Drink Mix (for dad)
-Paper Towels, Trash Bags, Ziploc Bags, Toilet Paper,
Drinks (Gatorade, Water, Lemonade, Milk, OJ)
Fruits (Apples, Raspberries, Strawberries, Grapes)
Butter, Eggs, Bacon
Shredded Cheese (Mexican & Mozerella)
Meats (Chicken, Pork Chops, Ground Beef)
Breakfast (Sausage, Kolaches, Waffles)
Lunch/ Dinner (Tamales, Corn Dogs, Chicken Fingers, Lasagna)
Desserts (Fruit Bars, Apple sauce Ice Pops)
I’m not huge on crockpot meals/soups. I get a lot of the basics and just go from there. We love corn, green beans as sides with good BBQ chicken or Pork Chops. My favorite go to meal is taco soup and a little ground beef goes A LONG way, it makes the perfect leftovers!
All in all, take your regular grocery list and double it. Get the things you haven’t run out of just yet. I’m sure the stockpile will be obsolete soon with all the options for grocery delivery and curbside pickup, but this is a good starting place!
Babies are unpredictable so you never know if they will surprise you and how terrible would it be to come home from the hospital to no toilet paper?!
